The Study Abroad Office will consider petitions for a program not on Yale’s designated list on a case-by-case basis. Before starting this petition:
- Review the petition process on the Study Abroad website
- Meet with a study abroad adviser
Only after completing these steps should you begin the petition process as outlined below.
Note: If you are applying to a program that is listed on the Study Abroad website, do not complete this petition. Instead, complete the Summer Abroad Credit for Designated (non-Yale) Programs application.
The Summer Abroad Credit petition period opens on December 15, 2016. All petitions for Summer Abroad Credit will be reviewed after the March 1st deadline and decisions are generally made within 2 weeks.
