All students are invited to an informal Open House for students interested in taking courses in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures.
Faculty and students will be there to answer questions about studying
- Ancient Egyptian languages and culture, including Egyptian hieroglyphics
- Mesopotamian languages and culture, including Babylonian cuneiform
- Classical Arabic civilization
- Islamic civilization
- Modern Arabic studies
- Hebrew studies
- Persian studies
- Turkish studies
Preceding the open house, there will be a poetry event at 2:00 p.m.
