Event description:

Are you interested in WGSS? Genders and sexualities are powerful organizing forces: they shape identities and institutions, nations and economies, cultures and political systems. Careful study of gender and sexuality thus explains crucial aspects of our everyday lives on both intimate and global scales.

The scholarship in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies is interdisciplinary and wide-ranging, drawing on history, literature, cultural studies, social sciences, and natural science to study genders and sexualities as they intersect with race, ethnicity, class, nationality, transnational processes, disability, and religion.

Our majors go on to careers that are similar to all liberal arts majors, though are heavily favored in careers that are beneficial, meaningful and satisfying: non-profits, higher education, k-12 education, medicine, public interest law, and many more.

The WGSS faculty would love to talk to you about considering a major in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Yale. As DUS for WGSS, it is my pleasure to invite you to join us for dinner.

You must RSVP to attend dinner. Please RSVP to wgss@yale.edu on or before Friday, February 12th.
(Already enrolled in the WGSS Major? Send your reply to WGSS registrar, Linda.Hase@yale.edu)

Sincerely,
Inderpal Grewal
