All students interested in the Boren Language Awards are invited to an info session with a Boren representative.

The Boren Awards provide up to $25,000 of funding through scholarships for undergraduate students to study a critical language and immerse themselves in the cultures in world regions critical to U.S. national interests. Boren awardees are committed to public service and receive special hiring opportunities upon returning from overseas study which provide a pathway to launch their federal career.
Maximum awards are determined by duration abroad:
- Up to $25,000 for 25-52 weeks (preferred)
- Up to $12,500 for 12-24 weeks
- Up to $8,000 for 8-11 weeks (STEM majors only)
