ENGL 404 (“Reading Fiction for Craft”) Info Session

Students interested in Prof. Michael Cunningham’s section of ENGL 404, “Reading Fiction for Craft,” are invited to attend an info session.

ENGL 404 is a beginning-level fiction writing class. No application is required in advance; however, Prof. Cunningham hopes to meet prospective students in advance for a conversation.

About the course Prof. Cunningham says, “ ‘Reading Fiction for Craft’ is very much about the conversations we engage in over the course of the semester.  We discuss the stories we read as various manifestations of the central act of storytelling which is, to me, a living organism, even when it reaches us as print.  We talk about the stories not only in formal terms but in emotional terms, as well.
