Mellon Mays and Edward A. Bouchet Fellowship Application Deadline

The Mellon Mays and Edward A. Bouchet Fellowship Program was established to increase the number of students pursuing PhDs and subsequent careers in academia who come from minority backgrounds or have an interest in addressing racial disparities. This program enables students to work on paid research projects during the academic year and to pursue full-time research during the summers between sophomore and junior years and between junior and senior years.

• Both fellowships are for rising juniors.
• Candidates may apply without regard to nationality or citizenship status.
• The Mellon Mays/Bouchet programs are not designed for students pursuing professional training for careers in the practice of law, business administration, clinical medicine, or the allied health professions.
