Event time:

Event description:

The Wu Tsai Undergraduate Fellowships seeks to give undergraduates at Yale from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to perform cutting-edge research at the intersection of neuroscience, psychology, computer science, and engineering.  Students from any major are encouraged to apply. Sample research areas include brain imaging and neurofeedback, machine learning and robotics, and the integration of neuronal systems’ structure and function.

Students do not need to have commitment from a host lab before applying.

The program is open to freshman, sophomores, juniors, and non-graduating seniors with an interest in interdisciplinary research of relevance to cognition or in neuro-related computing or engineering, and who can contribute to diversity and inclusion through their identity, life experiences, work, or research.

Summer Fellows do research in a Yale lab from June 1 – August 4, 2023, under the mentorship of faculty members, postdocs and grad students. They  participate in workshops, seminars, and social events. At the end of the program, they have a chance to present their work at a closing symposium. Fellows receive a competitive stipend.

When applying for the fellowship, students should identify up to three WTI-affiliated faculty they would be interested in working with. Students who have already pre-identified and secured a Yale faculty member are also able to apply.
