Summer Internships and Professional Experiences

If you have been thinking about options for the summer, after graduation or considering graduate or professional school, the Office of Career Strategy (OCS), located on the 3rd floor of 55 Whitney Avenue can help you learn more.

OCS is open throughout the academic year and over the summer. At any time of the year, students are invited to submit their resume or cover letter for an on-line review or make an appointment with a career advisor. During the academic year, students may stop by during drop-in hours for quick questions, Monday-Friday 10am-4pm when classes are in session.

The OCS Website offers excellent information on all career-related topics, including details about securing and funding your summer internships in the U.S. or around the globe, information on employer recruiting events, a database of gap-year and short-term positions, and extensive information on applying to graduate school, law school, business school, medical school and other advanced degrees.

Visit the OCS Calendar of Events for a full list of upcoming events and log into the Yale Career Link to sign-up to attend workshops, educational programs and recruiting events. Within the document library of the Yale Career Link, students can search and connect with fellow students and recent graduates to discuss their summer and post-graduate experiences. The online mock interview tool also allows students to build mock interviews from hundreds of pre-recorded interview questions.

Students are also encouraged to use the Yale Career Network, a database of Yale University alums who are interested in networking with fellow alums and current students. As a member of the Yale community, students can search and connect with Yale alums to discuss career objectives and explore career interests.
