Add/Drop Peer Advising for the Class of 2027

Add/drop Peer Advising in Fall 2023 for the Class of 2027

Running between August 29-September 5 (i.e., for the duration of add/drop period), students in the Class of 2027 may make fifteen-minute advising appointments with some of the same FroCos in the Class of 2023 who provided peer advising this past summer.

These brief advising appointments are intended to supplement the advice you’re currently receiving from your own FroCo, your college advisers, and others.

Summer 2023 Peer Advising for the Class of 2027

Introducing the Yale College Summer Peer Advising Program

Between June 12-August 18, 2023, incoming first-years will have the opportunity to schedule 15” virtual meetings with peer advisers through the Yale College’s summer peer advising program for the Class of 2027.

You may sign up for an appointment here.

(Students in the Class of 2027 also will have continued opportunities to receive guidance and advice once they arrive on campus in late August and during the academic year. Many of these officially begin on move-in day and are spelled out elsewhere on this website (college advisers, the Academic Fair, residential college deans, first-year counselors, directors of undergraduate studies, and more).

Another way to receive advice over the summer is to email questions to first-year.affairs@yale.edu.

Who?

The summer peer advisers in the program are recently graduated seniors who served as 2022-2023 first-year counselors (“FroCos”) in their residential colleges. They are also supported by members of the Yale College Dean’s Office.

[Coming soon!] Click here for mini-bios of the 2023 summer peer advisers.

Then, once you arrive on campus in late August, you’ll be connected to in-person advising from your academic-year advisers.
