This fall, Yale College is excited to launch a two-week Advising Period, from November 4-15, 2024.
Advising Period is a great opportunity for students in all classes to connect with their advisers before registering for spring 2025 courses at the end of November.
Here’s what you need to know:
- For students with a major: This is a good time to reach out to your DUS office, if your major provides DUS advising, or in larger majors where a team of faculty members provides major advising, to connect with your departmental adviser. Check the “Undergraduate” tab on your major department’s website for information about whom to contact for major advising
- For students without a major: Advising Period is an opportunity for first-years to meet with your college adviser to discuss the transition to Yale and your goals for next semester and beyond, and for sophomores to get your college adviser’s help putting your studies into closer focus. Your college adviser’s name and contact information may be found in Yale Hub and in Degree Audit (click on the mail icon in the upper right)
- For seniors: It’s especially important for you to check in with your DUS or departmental adviser to discuss your major and degree-completion requirements, ensuring you’re on track to graduate
Join us in making the most of Advising Period and connect to your constellation of advisers at Yale!
